Fifty-three Kentuckians were reported to possess lost their endures Thursday from COVID-19. This is the highest one-day total deaths because the pandemic reached the commonwealth.
Gov. Andy Beshear announced the deaths on Saturday, together with data in the previous 2 days.
“The quantity of deaths we're announcing today is really heartbreaking – another wake-up call,” Beshear wrote within an email release. He said the positivity rates are dropping, though, and fell below 8% on Christmas Day.
“That means our sacrifices are earning a positive change,” Beshear said.
