It’s become my favorite way to give back because we often ignore childhood cancer and how underfunded it is. St. Judes is a phenomenal organization that allows children to receive free treatments rather than having parents worry about the financial burden that accompany an unexpected cancer diagnosis. Not only does it raise awareness, but it also encourages happiness for individuals who cannot be home for Christmas!
If you are feeling like cards aren’t enough, don’t worry. Dollar General actually partners with St. Judes every year to host Santa’s Workshop, a celebration where children can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, make crafts, and get a Christmas toy that they pick themselves. St. Judes makes sure that children receive the same excitement as others throughout the holidays as any other child on the planet.
If you’re looking for a way to financially help St. Judes this holidays, they offer that, too! Through their boxed holiday card sets, you can not only send your loved ones warm greetings but in addition helps St. Judes with their mission. St. Judes also runs an online gift shop, and all of the proceeds from purchases go straight to helping families and children with cancer.
